From village to village

Health care where it is needed

The numerous positive feedbacks from the local authorities and especially from the population encourage us to continue the services started at the end of 2019, to expand the areas and to seek donors for their funding.

In 2022, mobile health care continued in the remote villages of Karangasem district, intensified and, from mid/end 2022, expanded to two additional villages further east on the Agung volcano. . In coordination with the regional authorities, we offered regular consultation hours for the poor rural population and also visit patients at home if necessary.

In the meantime, Nexuba reaches an area with well over 10,000 people. The doctor employed by NEXUBA Bali, Dr. Anom Sapariati, is authorised to dispense medicines. She is supported by several nurses. Furthermore, we have employed a driver and purchased a suitable car for our needs. The driver, who is familiar with the area, accompanies the doctor, the nursing staff and the equipment and medicines from village to village. This ensures decentralised medical care on site.

The health network is to be constantly checked for sustainability, improved accordingly and, if possible, expanded to cover a larger area. Quality control, ensuring wages, infrastructure, material and medicines remain in the hands of NEXUBA.
